The Melville Society's
Hennig Cohen Prize

Named for distinguished scholar, critic, and Melville Society editor Hennig Cohen, this prize honors excellence in scholarship and writing in an article or book chapter on Melville published in the preceding year, and it is awarded to an individual relatively new to the field during the Melville Society's annual gathering at the MLA Convention. Nominations for the award may be sent to the Cohen Prize Committee.
