Chek Lap Kok Air Terminal, Main Concourse, Hong Kong, China

The Chek Lap Kok Air Terminal, which opened in 1998, is the largest air terminal in the world with a length of 1270 meters and a width of 350 meters. A common design shared by air terminals built in the last decade or so is their spacious design. This is jointly to insure a smooth circulation of passengers, adequate waiting areas for large aircrafts (e.g. 747) as well as a calming effect on passengers in spite of potential crowdness.
